You Are Loved!

Did you know that God loves you?

Well, He does! He tells us so, in His Word, the Holy Bible. You’ve probably heard or seen this scripture many times before: John 3:16For God so loved the world, that He gave His only Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish, but have eternal life.

But, what does it mean?

Here’s the short of it. God created everything around us; the world itself, and everything in it. He gave us perfect living conditions and gave us everything we humans would need in order to thrive. Eventually though, humans would make wrong choices, and fall into temptations that would separate us from God. That’s what we call sin. We did it in the garden of Eden, and we still do it today. However, we do not have to get stuck in our sins! That is why God sent Jesus.

Who’s Jesus?

Jesus is the only Son, spoken of in John 3:16. He’s a part of the Holy Trinity; The Father, The Son, and The Holy Spirit, the three of which make up the one true God of everything. Jesus came to us as a sacrifice, to cleanse us of our sin so that we can have an everlasting, meaningful relationship with God, and to spend our eternity in Heaven with Him. He died on a cross, and arose from the tomb three days later, as evidence that He conquered death. Before He suffered on the cross for us, He performed many miracles and still does so today!

If this all seems difficult to digest, understand that each must at first, take baby steps in their faith. But there are some basic steps you can take to start a new journey in your life; one with great meaning and the free gift of eternal life in Jesus Christ.

Salvation Plan

  • Step One: Admit that you’re a sinner, and turn away from sin.
  • Step Two: Believe (have faith) that Jesus Christ died on the cross to pay for your sins, and that He arose again, and conquered the grave.
  • Step Three: Commit  – Ask Jesus Christ to be your Lord and Savior, and commit to a relationship with Him.

In those three steps, you can begin a relationship with God. If it sounds easy, it’s because it is! It doesn’t mean that you’ll never have a bad day, but it does ensure that God will be with you every step of the way, and when you accept Christ as your savior, you have a direct line through prayer, whenever you are in need. Eventually, those prayers for needs will turn into prayers of praise to The Lord, for the things He has done for you.

Below, you will find a simple prayer, to invite Christ into your life. You should feel free to use whatever words you wish, though. After all, a relationship with God is a wonderful and personal relationship, and should come from the heart!

“Dear Lord, thank You for showing me how much I need You, and for dying on the cross for me. Please forgive me for my sins and failures, and make me clean. I want to begin a fresh start with You in my life, and I accept you as my Lord and Savior. Guide me and guard my heart for all of my days. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.”

God loves you so much! It’s difficult to comprehend His affection for us, but as a new person born again, you can now experience everything He has to offer to you!
